Texas SV Riders

Texas Suzuki SV Riders Forum

I am giving thoughts to purchasing a Scotts Damper for my SV.
My brother had one installed on his R6... but I never got to ride it.

Anyone with an SV have any experience with a Scotts?
Before and After Input?

My first wreck occured from a tar snake and tank slapper... I'm just trying to help ease my thoughts of another slapper taking me out.

Are you riding the black 1000? I know how you feel about the "Tankslapper." The stock dampers on the liter SV's SUCK! Scott's is a good name brand and I've heard that anyone who has been riding without a stabilizer then switches over to actually having stabilizer will never ride without..just from hearing that, the difference between actually having one and either not having one or having a stock crappy one must be a big difference. My wreck was due to a tank slapper and I got pretty messed up...I'll add a pic. I recommend you but it!

I've got a 2005 Black SV1000S that replaced a Metallic Space Blue SV1000S... that blue was beautiful.
I didn't know it was a rare color unitl I took it out.

I have pictures stored somewhere at the house.
I faired alot better than you... dut to the fact I was wearing a leather jacket.
Wherever there was exposed skin magically touched concrete... not to mention the big hematomas that are still partially around on my hips.

I wrecked in a town north of McKinney called Desert.
We just drove through last weekend, and I stopped by the crash site.
Come to find out the road has been entirely been redone... who'd have thought.

I bought a Scotts Top Mount.... I can't believe I waited this long.

I have it one turn up from full soft.... it will go three turns up.
What a huge difference it makes.

Here's a pic of the Onlins Linear Damper for the files...
I wouldn't do a track day without one or the other.
